It can be challenging keeping an internet stream "fresh", especially smaller streams that aren't making an income. We're here to help...
StreamSyndication.com is a directory for producers of radio content (including internet radio) and producers and managers of radio (including internet radio) to connect.
If you have a radio program and would like other streams to carry it, you should add your program to our directory.
Browse our directory, find programs that fit with your stream and run them. (depending on any restrictions the content owner has placed) In some cases, this may be all that is needed.
There really aren't any! You should have a website with a demo of your program, of course. The easier your program is for stream owners to access, the better. You should also provide as much information as possible, (licensing requirements, formats, etc..).
IMPORTANT: Your listing should be as accurate as possible, if you say you don't broadcast commercial music but you decide to anyway, or if you say your program is 5 minutes in length, but it usually runs 8 minutes, you will probably be dropped by internet radio streams who may not appreciate this.
We offer UNIX consulting services to people who operate icecast or shoutcast streams, we can assist with automated format conversions, network (as in, internet) programming, perl, automation software and server management.
If you're interested in "sprucing up" your stream or incorporating audio feeds in an automated way, or building a custom shoutcast client, you should contact us, we can assist you.
It is a model some content producers may wish to adopt. These are restrictions placed by the producer on how the program can be distributed.
Some stream owners cannot carry music for legal reasons, if your program contains commercial music which you do not own the rights to, you should select "Yes, I broadcast commercial music"
Some stream owners may require the ID3 tag information, such as artist, album, title. If you offer the time log in a computer readable format, you should select the format that is most appropriate. (Wouldn't hurt to add more information on your website about this as well)
Time offsets are particularly helpful for internet streams as they allow the track to be updated in real-time, even for pre-recorded programs.
